Wendy Poyser

Wendy has vast experience in the Human Resources field, her background covering operations and line management, plus all aspects of human resource management at the senior level.

Previous roles have involved the provision of human resource services to business, and building competitive advantage through the utilization of people resources.

Wendy’s Human Resources career has included working in organisational design and development, talent and succession planning, remuneration and benefits, industrial relations and business partner roles. Her corporate career included roles in Pepsico, Unisys and Vodafone in both Australia and Asia Pacific. Her pragmatic, commercial and empathetic approach have allowed her to build partnerships with others to deliver effective solutions.

As Director, Human Resources at Vodafone, Wendy was responsible for the strategic and operational implementation of all human resource initiatives relating to the Australian Vodafone business, and was extensively involved in the implementation of strategic initiatives to drive an “Employer of Choice” status for Vodafone.

As an extension of her work, Wendy set up her own human resource consulting business, called syncHRonicity, in 2002. Since commencement, syncHRonicity has provided a range of human resource support in the form of coaching, facilitation, learning and development, strategic human resource consulting, implementation of organization restructures, mediation services, etc.

Wendy has a Bachelor of Business and a Master of Business Administration. She is also an academic at Central Queensland University where she teaches human resources and organisational behaviour. She is an accredited coach, completing an Advanced Professional Development Certificate in Coaching from the Institute of Coaching and Consulting Psychology. She is a certified facilitator for Interaction Management and Targetted Selection and certified in HBDI, DISC, MBTI and Hogan profiling tools which she uses with individuals and team coaching and development.

Current clients include CEO’s, Heads of Human Resources, Executives, Senior Managers and Leaders from Australian and International corporates. We also work with leaders within the non-profit sector and enjoy the variety of clients who have different challenges in their environments and require different types of support to be effective.
